General Informartion
The Profmat National Academic Commission - Mathematics Professional Masters Degree on National Network, in the use of its legal attributions defined by the Article 7 of its Regiment, makes public the National Acess Exam Profmat Incoming for 2020.
The PROFMAT Mathematics Professional Masters Degree in National Network is a semi-presential mathematics masters program with national offer. It is composed by a network of Higher Education Institutions, in the context of the Aberta do Brasil University (Brazil's Open University)/Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), and coordinated by the Brazilian Mathematical Society (SBM), with support from the National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA). PROFMAT emerged through an action induced by CAPES with the Mathematics scientific community, represented and coordinated by SBM.
The PROFMAT aims to serve primarily Mathematics teachers acting in Basic Education, especially public schools, seeking improvement in their vocational training, with emphasis on in-depth mastery of mathematical content relevant to their teaching.
The PROFMAT was recommended by CAPES, recognized by the National Education Council - CNE and validated by the Ministry of Education with grade 5 (maximum grade for masters degree programs).
The Higher Education Institutions that are part of the Profmat National Network are called Associated Institutions, which assure the Program is charge free, and are responsible, through their respective Institutional Academic Coordination, for all Profmat coordination activities, described in Profmat Regiment and its norms. EXAM'S REGISTRATION
The Exam's registration will be made exclusively via internet, on the website http://www.profmat-sbm.org.br. The registration period will be from August 1, 2019 until 05:00pm Brasília time of September 16, 2019.
